Dust Containment System “DCS”: We are happy to be one of a very few floor refinishing services in the area to offer the revolutionary “Dust Containment System”.

The conventional method of floor sanding is performed with sanding machines using cloth dust bags that allow air to flow through the bag and in essence dust to flow through. The DCS, Dust Containment System, is a separate set of equipment that consist of a pump, hoses and a container that collects and holds the dust generated by the sanding process. The system we use is rated to be 95% dust free.

The Federal government has added wood dust to its list of known human carcinogens and surprisingly, old wood varnishes can contain as much lead as old paint! If the necessary precautions aren’t taken and adequate dust collection isn’t used, this toxic dust can linger for months on surfaces in your home! Every time this dust gets stirred up, you and your family are re-exposed to these dangers! Unlike bag collectors, our patented DCS new technology can eliminate up to 95% of the airborne dust created from floor sanding operations!

This system helps to protect your health and property. Besides the obvious health benefits, the need to do minimum clean up after having your floors refinished is a Big Plus. Our system is portable and not a huge noise maker.

We offer this service as an option to the standard floor sanding process. If you are involved in a renovation process and there are other services being performed in the house which are or have created dust and there is cleanup planned, you have the option of accepting the DCS or not.

Cork Flooring: Cork is being produced in many colors, styles and finishes. Cork is an “Eco Friendly” material and it’s a great insulator. Cork is a very comfortable surface. Great in basements, playrooms, work out rooms, and kitchens.

Reclaimed Wood Flooring: Many people are looking for a way to preserve trees by choosing a product that doesn’t require cutting a tree. We have a line of “Reclaimed” products: wood flooring that has been regenerated from old barns, beams from buildings being demolished or logs gathered from lakes. Many of these products are pre 1900 and present a particular appearance.

DIY-Do It Yourself: We sell flooring to do it yourselfers and contractors. You can hire us to give you pointers on how to install it yourself.

Floor Maintenance Products: We offer cleaning kits and supplies that help you to protect the wood floors and laminate floors that you have purchased from us or that you already have. We offer cleaning and protection products.
